Awards
The highest honour is the John Shaw Medal which recognises an industry champion who has made significant and lasting contributions to the transport sector both in Australia and internationally.
The Ray Fisher Award for Technical Excellence in 2025 was presented to Dr Torill Pape, a pre-eminent expert in bridges and structures and currently Deputy Chief Engineer (structures) with the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads.
Awarded to an outstanding Emerging Leader in the industry who shows promise as a future leader in the transport sector, including technical excellence, commitment to a transport career and active engagement with industry opportunities.
The Fellowship Alumni Award recognises the Fellowship Program’s role in fostering our sector’s emerging transport leaders.
Our Leadership Programs
We develop the sector’s leadership pipeline through a national Fellowship program, tailored events from the Emerging Leaders and guidance from the Future Leaders Committee.
