Emerging Leaders’ Award 2026
Awarded to an outstanding Emerging Leader in the industry who shows promise as a future leader in the transport sector, including technical excellence, commitment to a transport career and active engagement with industry opportunities.
This replaces the PPP award last awarded in 2024 to William Phillips, Construction Advisor at BMD Group.

THE CRITERIA
Selection criteria for the award are as follows:
Emerging Leaders Program Participation
Recognised participant of Roads Australia Emerging Leaders Program.
Field of Contribution
The field of contribution must relate to demonstration of potential as a future leader in the transport sector. Indicative areas of contribution include technical excellence, demonstrated commitment to a career in the transport sector and active engagement with the opportunities provided through the Emerging Leaders Program.
Personal Achievement
It must be demonstrated that the candidate’s contribution significantly reflects personal endeavour, as distinct from the work of others.
Further potential
Ideally candidates for the award will still have further contributions to make to the industry and the community. It is expected that the award will recognise their achievements to date and thereby enhance the opportunity for the candidate to make yet a further contribution.
