Alex Gibson
Technical Manager, Infrastructure and Place, Transport for NSW
Alex Gibson is a civil engineer with 10 years’ experience across a diverse range of projects that includes roads, rail and light-rail. Having worked on everything from large urban mega projects, to small regional upgrades, she brings a unique lens to infrastructure and design—one that balances technical precision with human-centered purpose.
Driven by a belief in the power of intentional design, Alex is known for her collaboration, curiosity, solutions driven focus, and ability to translate uncertainty into opportunity. She takes pride in work that endures beyond delivery and is committed to shaping infrastructure that serves both clients and communities.

Alex Sonego
Associate Director, Infrastructure Advisory Group
Alex is a Civil Engineer with over 10 years’ experience in the transport and civil infrastructure sector, spanning design consulting, construction management, and client-side roles. Her diverse career has provided a well-rounded foundation of technical expertise and practical insight across both private and public sectors.
In her current role as Project Manager on the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail – Rail Package, Alex leads the progression of a complex program through its delivery phase. She oversees design and information management, multidisciplinary reviews, possession planning, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring project milestones are achieved on time, within scope, and on budget. Acting as a conduit between the Alliance and the broader TMR business, she drives collaboration and efficiency across teams and processes.
Beyond the technical, Alex is passionate about diversity and inclusion in engineering. She believes that bringing together diverse voices leads to more equitable, trusted, and innovative transport outcomes. Known for her strong communication skills, collaborative leadership style, and people-centred approach, Alex thrives on fostering connections that strengthen project delivery and inspire better industry outcomes. Anne Paterson
Manager Metropolitan Maintenance, Main Roads WA
Experienced infrastructure and maintenance leader with over 20 years in civil engineering, project delivery, and operational management across government and private sectors. Currently leading metropolitan road maintenance at Main Roads WA, overseeing a multi-disciplinary team of 150+ personnel.
Anne has led major road and infrastructure construction projects, overseeing the planning, delivery, contract negotiations, and close-out of complex works. She successfully led the strategic transition of metropolitan road maintenance delivery from outsourced contract to a fully in-house model, enhancing control, efficiency, and service quality.
A passionate and strategic leader, Anne is known for building high-performing teams, mentoring emerging talent, and cultivating a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. She leads with integrity and a collaborative mindset, empowering teams to deliver excellence in service and outcomes.

Ben Jones
Customer Success Director, Transmax
Ben Jones is an accomplished professional in Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and road network operations, with more than 20 years of experience delivering complex transport and technology programs across Australia. As Customer Success Director at Transmax, Ben drives customer engagement and business growth by ensuring that customers realise the full value of Transmax’s ITS solutions.
A former engineering and program management specialist with the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads, Ben has led major initiatives including the Next Generation Traffic Signal Controller and the Emergency Vehicle Priority rollout. His deep technical expertise, combined with a strong commercial and customer-centric mindset, enables him to help customers achieve safer, smarter, and more connected transport networks.
Ben holds qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, and Business Management.

Callum Bengtson
Market Sector Manager - Transport QLD Infrastructure, KBR
Callum Bengtson is an accomplished civil engineer and senior leader with over 14 years’ experience across Queensland’s transport infrastructure sector. With a strong foundation in engineering, a passion for delivering value and for working with people, Callum has successfully transitioned into high-impact management roles where he leads multidisciplinary teams, shapes business strategy, and fosters enduring client relationships.
Throughout his career, Callum has demonstrated a consistent ability to align technical delivery with broader organisational goals. He has led key transport planning and infrastructure projects from concept through to execution, ensuring alignment with policy, stakeholder expectations, and commercial objectives. His leadership style is collaborative and empowering, with a focus on mentoring emerging professionals, building high-performing teams, and cultivating a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Chris Ambrose
Senior Project Manager – Tunnels and Motorways, Ventia
Chris is a seasoned infrastructure leader with over 15 years of experience in asset and maintenance management across Australia’s most complex motorway and tunnel networks. His career journey from hands-on technical roles to senior asset and contract management has equipped him with a unique ability to align strategic objectives with practical delivery outcomes on the ground.
Chris currently leads a multi-disciplinary team at Ventia, delivering a broad range of specialist services including asset management optimisation, greenfield design review inputs and lifecycle capital works delivery.
Previously, Chris served six years as Contract Manager for Melbourne’s CityLink Motorway, overseeing maintenance operations and driving performance improvements. More recently, he played a pivotal role in the Torrens to Darlington Alliance, leading the development of operational phase delivery strategies, lifecycle planning, and digital engineering integration.

Daniel Andres
Daniel Andres Bid Manager, Laing O'Rourke
Daniel is a Bid Manager based in Perth with over 12 years’ experience in the construction industry, delivering and tendering for major road and rail infrastructure projects.
He has held key leadership roles on projects such as the Morley to Ellenbrook Line and Northlink Stage 3, specialising in civil works and road construction. Daniel is passionate about innovation, sustainability, and building high-performing teams. He thrives on simplifying complex challenges and driving smarter, more productive construction techniques.

Dr. Amir Soroush
Visual Intelligence Technology Lead, VIDA Services
Dr. Amir Soroush is the Technology Lead at the Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority, with over 20 years of experience spanning R&D, strategy, consulting, and advisory roles across both public and private sectors. He specialises in the design, development, and deployment of technology-driven solutions that enhance safety and drive cost efficiency across the construction, energy, mining, and water industries globally.
Amir holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering, as well as Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Civil and Structural Engineering. With deep expertise in Industry 4.0, digital transformation and AI, he is dedicated to leveraging innovation to improve project delivery, operational performance, and risk management in complex infrastructure environments.

Edoardo Fusina
Engineering Manager, John Holland Group
Edoardo is a highly driven engineering professional with 15 years’ experience in the planning, delivery and management of complex and large scale infrastructure projects. Edoardo started his career with a design consultancy as a Civil/Structural Designer, Designer Site Representative and Design Project Manager on a number of civil infrastructure projects ranging from road and rail upgrade schemes to the condition assessment and refurbishment of existing infrastructure. He later transitioned to work for both Tier 2 and Tier 1 civil contractors as Engineering and Design Manager on small to large scale infrastructure projects working in both pre-contracts and project delivery.

Gareth McShea
Civil Team Manager | Principal Civil Engineer, Hullcon
Gareth is a Chartered Civil and Environmental Engineer who has led design teams to deliver complex transport, water and renewable-energy projects across Australia. As the Surface Water Lead at Hullcon, he specialises in stormwater drainage, flood management, and water-sensitive urban design.
Within Hullcon’s senior leadership team, Gareth contributes to business development, client engagement, resourcing and mentoring. He’s passionate about developing people and fostering collaboration across disciplines to deliver practical, resilient, and sustainable infrastructure.
Gareth believes the future of infrastructure lies in strong relationships, smarter design, and continuous learning. Outside of work, he’s an active rower who enjoys the sense of teamwork, focus, and balance the sport brings— qualities that mirror his approach to engineering and leadership.

Irena Sims
Practice Leader, Integrated Transport and Mobility, Aurecon
With over 16 years’ experience, Irena leads Aurecon’s Integrated Transport and Mobility practice in the Gold Coast office and is responsible for project design management. Her experience to date spans design and construction of complex infrastructure projects. Her career has focused on bridging the gap between construction-based project management and design delivery, enabling her to lead multidisciplinary teams that deliver practical, safe, and coordinated outcomes.
Irena has built a reputation for collaboration, problem-solving, and delivering quality outcomes under evolving project conditions.
Irena is excited to take part in this Roads Australia program with the ambition to expand her leadership capabilities, challenge traditional delivery expectations, and advocate for a more inclusive and balanced industry. Jacqueline Pizzey
Strategy and Corporate Affairs Advisor, Inland Rail
Jacqueline is a strategic communications specialist with a strong background in managing community engagement, social license, and organisational reputation across complex major infrastructure projects. With over nine years of experience in high-pressure and challenging environments, she has played a key role in shaping public perception and stakeholder trust on state and nationally significant projects like Cross River Rail and Inland Rail.
Currently the Strategy and Corporate Affairs Advisor on the Inland Rail project, Jacqueline plays a pivotal role in navigating a complex multi-jurisdictional stakeholder environment to shape Inland Rail’s development and delivery strategies and governance processes. Her responsibilities include preparing strategic advice to executive management that is incorporated into shareholder and Board reporting and driving continuous improvement across corporate affairs and governance functions.
Jacqueline is passionate about building strong and constructive relationships with communities and key internal and external stakeholders and driving outcomes that support project success and social impact. Through the Fellowship program, she aspires to grow as a leader in the infrastructure sector, championing collaborative approaches to reputation management and community engagement that enable long-term project viability and public trust.

James Constantinos
Project Manager, Jacobs
James is a passionate Project Manager at Jacobs with extensive experience in the NSW transport infrastructure industry. He has successfully led the delivery of design services and environmental studies for numerous major projects, consistently planning, forming and leading teams.
James’ background as a Chartered Professional Engineer, strong technical grounding in civil engineering, and ability to balance technical expertise with effective communication has also earned him a strong reputation with clients for reliability and excellence in project execution.

Kai Tan
Kai Tan Design Manager, Arup
Kai is a Design Manager based in Arup’s Perth office, responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams in the delivery of major infrastructure projects.
He has a proven track record of achieving successful project outcomes through close collaboration with clients, contractors, designers, and stakeholders. His experience spans D&C and Alliance contracts, as well as the development of concept designs and business cases.
Kai has contributed to the design and construction of several significant projects in Perth, including the Morley–Ellenbrook Line, Optus Stadium, Elizabeth Quay Pedestrian Bridge, and the new Fremantle Traffic Bridge.

Katie Pearce
Section Lead Investment, Transport Planning and Analytics (ANZ), Jacobs
Katie is a Strategic Transport Planner currently leading Jacobs’ ANZ wide Investment, Transport Planning & Analytics group. Working across multiple countries over her career Katie’s technical background includes Transport Planning and Business Case development. She has delivered transport schemes from inception, through investment gateways and into delivery; driving exceptional results for clients at all stages of the delivery cycle for clients across industry.

Kim Achkar
Project Manager, Arcadis
Kim Achkar is a highly skilled Project Manager at Arcadis with 10 years of experience in delivering major infrastructure projects across government and private sectors in Australia. Kim excels in managing complex design issues and interfaces, fostering collaboration among stakeholders, and driving innovative solutions to project challenges.
Her ability to maintain a positive team environment while ensuring efficient project progress has been instrumental in delivering critical projects, such as North East Link Program and more recently Suburban Rail Loop Authority’s Work Package C. With a Bachelor in Civil Engineering and Masters of Engineering Management, Kim’s ongoing commitment to professional development has played a critical role in developing the technical skills to engage with Contractors, government and private entities to ensure the design deliverables meet the project requirements and standards.
Kim’s passion is to lead and deliver projects and people in a way that her contributions make a difference and have a positive impact on other people’s lives. Kim’s strength lies in planning for and assessing risks in her day-to-day decisions. Her ability to effectively manage change through the project’s lifecycle, including consultation with impacted internal and external stakeholders, contributes to successful project delivery.

Kristy Havelberg
Community and Stakeholder Engagement Manager, Tonkin Alliance, Georgiou Group
Kristy is an IAP2-accredited public relations professional with over 13 years’ experience in strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and community relations. She is currently leading Community, Stakeholder, and Aboriginal Participation on the $1B Tonkin Highway Extension and Thomas Road Upgrade Project, following her leadership of engagement for the $740M Tonkin Gap Alliance. She is known for developing tailored engagement strategies that balance project delivery with community expectations, including managing complex works such as property impact and claims, major road closures, and high-sensitivity resident issues.
Her experience spans integrated communications campaigns, crisis communication, and high-profile stakeholder programs. She is a two-time finalist for the CCF Women in Civil Award, serves on the NAWIC education committee, and mentors through the CCF Women in Civil program.

Mathew Carter
Chartered Civil Engineer, Arup
Mat Carter is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 14 years of experience spanning bridge design, civil structures and multidisciplinary project leadership across major road and rail programs in New South Wales and the ACT. As an Associate at Arup, he leads teams delivering complex infrastructure projects, integrating technical excellence with strong design leadership to achieve balanced, best-for-project outcomes. Mat is passionate about improving design quality through smarter and more efficient processes and fostering environments that enable innovation and shared success.

Matt Ginn
Chartered Civil Engineer, NSW Civil Infrastructure Business, Arcadis
Matt Ginn is a chartered civil engineer in the NSW Civil Infrastructure Business at Arcadis. He has been involved in the design of large road infrastructure projects including the Warringah Freeway Upgrade, Rozelle Interchange, West Connex 1B, Coffs Harbour Bypass, and the Eastern Freeway Burke to Tram Alliance. With experience in roles as design manager and civil lead, Matt enjoys collaborating closely with clients and other project stakeholders and developing design solutions to ensure that project objectives are achieved.

Nikki Manche
Senior Associate Geotechnical Engineer, WSP
Nikki is a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) with 12 years of consulting experience as a Geotechnical Engineer in Australia and Canada.
Nikki has been involved in several major infrastructure projects including the Inland Rail project, the North-East Link project and the Gateway Upgrade North (GUN) project. Her involvement in projects has spanned across the whole lifecycle from initial planning/ feasibility, site investigation and community/ stakeholder engagement, through to design and construction phase services.
Nikki has a focus on project management and has led multidisciplinary teams for the safe delivery of several large-scale and complex geotechnical site investigations. As a geotechnical engineer, a profession which comes with inherent uncertainty, Nikki is able to think critically to provide practical solutions to complex problems.
Outside of work, Nikki enjoys all things outdoors and finding the next adventure with her young family.

Ollie Gibbs
Project Manager, Southern Program Alliance, Acciona
Ollie is a project manager with 18 years’ experience delivering major civil infrastructure projects in both Melbourne and Auckland. He is currently leading the $365M Newport Level Crossing removal, which is the Southern Program Alliance’s 10th package of works on the Level Crossing Removal Project.
Ollie has worked across a variety of engineering disciplines including road, rail, major structures and buildings/stations. His most challenging project was the fire and life safety (FLS) upgrade to the Melbourne unground rail loop (MURL) tunnels in 2022-2023, which was a huge learning curve across many non-civil disciplines.
As a long tenured employee at Acciona, Ollie takes satisfaction seeing the personal and professional growth of people around him, and the improvements that major infrastructure brings to the wider society it is constructed in.

Peta Wilkes
Precontracts Manager Qld/NT, McConnell Dowell
Peta Wilkes is Precontracts Manager Qld/NT at McConnell Dowell. Over the past 12 years, she has held precontracts and strategy roles at McConnell Dowell, John Holland, and Downer, with experience across transport infrastructure, dams, water, energy, resources, and marine sectors. Peta has built her career on developing winning strategies that balance commercial performance with strong social and sustainability outcomes, ensuring projects deliver long-term benefits for clients and communities.

Reuben Cole
Asset Planning Principal Engineer - Pavement, Transurban
Reuben is chartered civil engineer with 14 years’ experience in managing and delivering priority transport infrastructure programs across Australia. He is currently the Asset Planning Principal Engineer – Pavement at Transurban for Australia and North America.
He has a proven record in developing projects through the project lifecycle from feasibility, scoping to design, construction and finalisation with a focus on effective stakeholder engagement at a program level.
Reuben has an extensive background in the design and delivery of projects with both private and public clients. His broad range of experience enables him to provide genuine value to clients through technical excellence and the understanding of meaningful commercial and social outcomes.

Sarah Shelton
Associate - Senior Civil Engineer, WGA
Sarah Shelton is a Chartered Civil Engineer and RPEQ experienced within the traffic and transportation sector, particularly pavement design.
Sarah has held project and technical lead roles in major infrastructure projects, including the North South Corridor Reference Design (SA), Suburban Roads Upgrade (VIC) and Regency to Pym Upgrade (SA), as well as numerous transportation and industrial developments. She brings expertise in pavement design, road safety, geotechnical investigations, and traffic engineering with a strong record of delivering complex projects for both government and private clients. Sarah is also the National Group Technical Lead in pavements at WGA and leads a team of transportation professionals in her role as Team Lead. Sarah also drives a number of corporate social responsibility initiatives within WGA, including the STEM in schools’ initiative and has been a previous committee member on the South Australian Engineers Australia Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

Tanya Vincent
Tanya Vincent Head of WestConnex Concessions, Transurban
Tanya Vincent is the Head of WestConnex Concessions in the Australian Markets team at Transurban.
Tanya is based in Sydney and has been with Transurban since 2019, initially serving as commercial manager in the Transurban M4-M8 Link design and construction team before expanding into operations and maintenance commercial roles, including overseeing the integration of new WestConnex assets and new network projects.
With a legal background specialising in commercial contracts and major projects, Tanya has worked across a number of industries including defence and telecommunications as well as infrastructure, with the WestConnex business, collaborating with key stakeholders and government throughout her career.

Timothy Thong
Technical Director – SQ Roads, GHD
Tim Thong is a Technical Director and Team Leader in GHD’s South Queensland Roads team, based in Brisbane. With over 17 years of experience in civil and transport infrastructure design, Tim has delivered some of South Queensland’s most significant projects, including the Logan Enhancement Project, Port of Brisbane Motorway Upgrade, and Legacy Way Tunnel.
Tim is delighted to be accepted into the Roads Australia Fellowship Program. He sees this as a unique opportunity to learn from diverse industry leaders, expand his professional network, and contribute to policy development that will shape the future of transport in Queensland and beyond.

Trent Williams

Together, this team is supporting the planning, design and delivery of state significant precincts and crucial future transport infrastructure projects right across Queensland.

Zac Daymond
Associate Structural Engineer, pitt&sherry
Zac Daymond is the structural engineer with more than 15 years of experience delivering a wide range of temporary works solutions for major infrastructure projects along Australia’s eastern seaboard.
Zac has led or supported temporary works design and proof engineering on some of Australia’s most significant programs—among them the Warringah Freeway upgrade, M6 Stage 1, Sydney Metro, Sydney Gateway, Rozelle Interchange, WestConnex (M4 East and New M5) and Cross River Rail.

Alysse Reedy

Alysse Reedy is a Chartered Professional Engineer with over 15 years’ experience in civil construction and major road infrastructure projects. At Fulton Hogan, she manages national strategy and operational support projects, driving innovation, sustainability, and positive outcomes across diverse business streams.

Bao Nguyen
Senior Project Engineer, BMD Group
Bao is highly competent Senior Project Engineer who possesses an impressive history of project performance across urban development and road infrastructure projects within New South Wales and South Australia. She has a solid understanding of engineering processes and is proficient in developing management plans, construction methodologies, overseeing procurement, quality assurance, the implementation of safety and environmental compliances, commercial administration, and has solid stakeholder and client interface skills.
Bao has been an integral BMD member contributing to projects varying in complexity, contracting requirements and size. She has assisted on the $12 million Oakdale East Industrial Development project which included infrastructure, design and construction, the $20 million Showground Road and Carrington Road Intersection upgrade project and recently the $148 million West Camden Water Recycling Plant Stage 3 Amplification project for Sydney Water.
She is an asset to BMD, performing solid project outcomes, contributing to objectives, corporate goals and is committed to achieving successful project outcomes and achievements aligning to contractual requirements.

Brigette Humphrey-Robinson
Associate Director, AECOM
Brigette is an Associate Director at AECOM and the Transport Planning & Advisory Team Lead for NSW/ACT. She leads a dynamic team of transport engineers, planners, and modellers who plan and support the delivery of infrastructure projects across all transport modes. Passionate about creating equitable, inclusive, and safe transport systems, Brigette thrives on working within multidisciplinary teams to deliver transport infrastructure projects.
Brigette is also committed to her own professional development and the growth of her team members. She enjoys mentoring and supporting colleagues while continuously seeking opportunities to develop her skills. Chad Brownhill
Senior Manager - Infrastructure & Asset Management Leader, Fulton Hogan Egis
Chad Brownhill is an accomplished infrastructure leader with extensive experience across Australia’s roads, tunnels, and rail sectors. With over 15 years of industry experience, Chad has successfully led major design, construction, and operations & maintenance contracts, including the complex mobilisation of multiple large-scale Sydney infrastructure projects.
Currently serving as Operations & Maintenance Manager for Fulton Hogan Egis O&M on the WestConnex network, Chad oversees performance, compliance, and lifecycle management across one of the country’s most significant motorway networks. His technical expertise spans electrical, mechanical, and intelligent transport systems, coupled with a strong record in stakeholder collaboration, commercial management, and operational excellence.
As a project management professional with strong acumen in asset management, Chad is passionate about driving innovation, safety, and reliability in critical transport infrastructure.

Daniel Farrugia
Project Manager, Infrastructure Projects and Engineering, Transport for NSW
Daniel Farrugia is a Project Manager in Infrastructure Projects and Engineering at Transport for NSW, with experience across several complex transport projects in New South Wales. Since starting as a Cadet Engineer in 2012, Daniel has progressed through various engineering and project management roles, most recently leading the delivery of the Nowra Bridge project while also contributing to major projects like Sydney Light Rail and the Jervis Bay Road to Hawken Road upgrade.
Daniel enjoys the challenge of managing complex projects that require collaboration across multiple teams and stakeholders. His work has included resolving a number of complex multi-faceted issues to allow for the completion of the Nowra Bridge project, championing sustainability initiatives and leading diverse teams to deliver successful outcomes in high-pressure environments.

Danny Keough
Danny Keough Engineering Manager, Fulton Hogan
Danny is an accomplished Engineering Manager with Fulton Hogan in Brisbane, bringing over a decade of impactful experience to the civil infrastructure sector. He is recognised for his technical excellence, strategic leadership, and dedication to advancing industry standards.
Throughout his career, he has played pivotal roles in delivering major infrastructure projects. His project management expertise covers complex road, rail, and airport works. His approach is grounded in collaboration and innovation. He consistently leads high-performing teams, fosters strong client and stakeholder relationships, and upholds the highest safety and quality standards. His strategic advice and technical support have not only elevated Fulton Hogan’s construction and tender teams but also contributed directly to project successes, community engagement, and sustainability achievements.

Dylan Kunst
Construction Manager, CPB Contractors
After completing an engineering degree in Queensland, Dylan began his career in the UK with a management consultancy working under the National Highways Agency on infrastructure improvement projects. This experience gave him valuable exposure to road projects, design, standards and construction which solidified his interest in project management and infrastructure delivery.
Returning to Australia, he started as a Site Engineer on the EastLink Tollway project in Melbourne, helping deliver new bridges for that major transport corridor. Since then, he’s had the privilege of contributing to a wide range of infrastructure projects across Victoria, primarily in the roads and rail sectors, progressively developing my leadership through various delivery roles.
He is currently serving as Construction Manager on the West Gate Tunnel Project — now approaching completion — which will stand as a major achievement for everyone involved when it opens at the end of 2025.

Jade Sarah is a Technical Director in Transport with experience in design management, documentation, and road safety. She has delivered safe, integrated infrastructure solutions in all design stages, from concept to pre-opening. With over 15 years in civil engineering, Jade has contributed to major transport and infrastructure projects such as Cross River Rail, Inland Rail, and most recently The Wave. Her work spans road and rail integration, stakeholder coordination, and civil design under complex conditions, consistently driving outcomes that support safety, accessibility, and regional growth.

Joanna Ly
Senior Project Engineer, BMD Constructions
Joanna Ly is currently a Senior Project Engineer at BMD. She is a highly motivated and skilled civil infrastructure professional, with extensive experience across project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and pre-contracts planning. With a Bachelor of Environmental Engineering and Bachelor of Science, Joanna brings a sustainability lens to the construction industry. Joanna commenced her career at VicRoads, working on the Monash Freeway Upgrade Project, Keeping Ballarat Moving Business Case, and the Mordialloc Freeway Project. Shifting to BMD in early 2021, Joanna started on the Fitzsimons Lane Upgrade Project and has since worked on the Devonport Terminal 3 project for TT Lines (Spirit of Tasmania) and is currently acting as the Site Construction Manager on the Point Cook Road Upgrade, part of Victoria’s Big Build.
Joanna’s experience spans the full project lifecycle, from supporting early-stage planning and business case development where she was exposed to the processes needed to set up a project for success. Her empathetic communication style and technical capability have helped foster strong client relationships and deliver high-quality outcomes. Joanna is deeply committed to team development, inclusive leadership and fostering future engineers, by mentoring through the UNIQ You program, to engage with Year 10 students to promote careers in STEM, and through the Women in Engineering Mentoring Program at Monash University.

Karina Swan
Principal Civil Engineer, WSP
Karina is a Chartered Civil Engineer in the WSP Roads, Aviation and Civil team who specialises in infrastructure design and solving problems for clients related to highways and transportation, sewerage, sustainable urban drainage, building drainage, earthworks, flood protection and services co-ordination of residential, retail, industrial and commercial developments in both Australian and United Kingdom markets. She is currently working on the Cameron’s Lane Interchange reference design for VIDA Roads, and has previously worked on the SRL Work Package F Tender. Prior to that she was the drainage and flooding lead for the Southern Program Alliance.

Kevin Doyle

Kevin Doyle is an experienced Project Construction Manager, with over a decade of expertise delivering major road and bridge projects across NSW. He has recently held key roles on projects such as Mulgoa Road Upgrade Stage 1 and Sydney Gateway.
Kevin brings hands-on experience gained as a subcontractor, principal contractor, and client-side manager, and is recognised for his calm, solutions-focused leadership and ability to manage complex, high-traffic works with strong stakeholder engagement.
He has a particular passion for continuous improvement of the culture within the industry, with a strong focus on improvements in time for life, mental health and diversity in the workforce.

Kimberley De Canha

Kimberley, an Associate Civil Engineer and manager at SMEC in the ACT, draws on over 15 years of experience in road infrastructure projects across Australia and internationally. Passionate about road geometric design, she focuses on enhancing safety and creating efficient, accessible networks for all users, including drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians.
She enjoys fostering a collaborative environment by helping junior colleagues develop their skills. Her commitment to high-quality outcomes, strong collaboration, and genuine connections with people drives her success, ensuring projects exceed expectations and teams thrive.

Lokanantham Logitharan

With more than 25 years of experience in civil engineering and infrastructure delivery, Lokanantham Logitharan (Logi) is an accomplished leader with a proven record of managing complex, multi-billion-dollar transport programs across Queensland and internationally. As Acting Operations Manager, Principal Engineer, and Senior Project Manager with RoadTek, part of the Department of Transport and Main Roads, he has successfully led workforce management and the delivery of major road and bridge projects, including the $1.6 billion Toowoomba Second Range Crossing delivered under a Public–Private Partnership framework.
Logi is deeply passionate about innovation, sustainability, and circular economy principles in road construction. He has championed the adoption of recycled materials, fibre composite bridge structures, and sustainable pavement technologies that enhance both performance and environmental outcomes.
A Fellow of Engineers Australia and the Australian Institute of Project Management, Logi holds a Master of Project Management, Master of Business Administration, and Master of Business Law. He has also completed the Australian Major Projects Leadership Academy, delivered by the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School.
Dedicated to mentoring emerging engineers and managers, Logi actively promotes safer, smarter, and more sustainable transport solutions. He continues to collaborate with industry partners to improve project delivery outcomes, with a strong focus on circular economy practices and lean methodologies.

Matthew Rodgers
Traffic and Road Safety Manager, M7-M12 Integration Project
Matthew Rodgers is a senior leader with leadership experience across transport, infrastructure, and government. Strategic and outcomes-focused, he specialises in turning strategy into action, leading complex programs and reforms that deliver measurable public and commercial value.
He currently leads traffic interface and road safety for the $1.7 billion M7–M12 Integration Project, where his work on connected vehicle data and targeted interventions delivered a 19% reduction in serious crashes. This initiative was nationally recognised with the Australian Road Safety Award for Workplace Road Safety.
Matthew’s career includes senior roles at Transurban, Transport for NSW, and the Asset Standards Authority, with a focus on operational resilience, governance, and safety innovation. He holds board and committee appointments across Crown lands, Transport Professionals Australia (formerly AITPM), and the Traffic Management Association of Australia, contributing to national reform in infrastructure, transport planning, and road safety.
Known for building strong stakeholder relationships and leading with integrity, Matthew delivers sustainable, efficient solutions aligned with long-term organisational goals. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his children and staying active through baseball, golf, and powerlifting.

Paul Tobin
Principal Planner, Department of Transport and Main Roads QLD
Paul is a transport and land use planner with extensive experience aligning infrastructure planning and delivery with strategic urban growth. He has held senior roles across state and local government, led multidisciplinary teams on port and maritime transport projects, and managed infrastructure planning and charges frameworks. Internationally, Paul has worked with local authorities and development agencies in the United Kingdom to deliver major urban expansion areas, infrastructure projects, and development outcomes.

Puneet Kaur
Head of Finance, North East Link, State Tolling Corporation
Puneet is the Head of Finance at the North East Link State Tolling Corporation (NEL STC). NEL STC was established to pay for, own, operate and collect tolls from the North East Link, following the largest investment in a road project in Victoria’s history. Puneet’s role is essential to the successful development and future management of STC’s operation of the North East Link State Tollway.
Puneet is highly experienced in governance, compliance, and large-scale budget management. In her current role, she provides strategic oversight across NEL STC’s financial management, statutory reporting, compliance, and financial strategy functions.
With over twelve years of experience within Victorian Government, Puneet has spent the majority of that time within the Transport portfolio, working in senior Finance roles supporting major transport finance initiatives and significant infrastructure projects, such as the financial management of the North East Link Project, and the upcoming 2028 delivery of the North East Link State Tollway.
Known for a collaborative and outcomes-focused approach, Puneet combines financial acumen with a deep understanding of government frameworks to drive efficient use of public resources and effective delivery of government priorities.

Sean Hay

Sean is a Construction Manager with Bild Group, leading a team that delivers infrastructure projects across regional Victoria and New South Wales.
Sean has 10 years of experience within the civil infrastructure space, in both the public and private sector. Prior to joining Bild Group, he worked in local government in various design and asset management positions, culminating in the oversight of the Capital Works Development and Delivery and Strategic Asset programs.

Tim is passionate about achieving long-term sustainability outcomes for the construction sector and is most proud of recent achievements in leading the business in setting carbon reduction targets and implementing tangible sustainability initiatives aligned to McConnell Dowell’s Horizon 2030 strategic plan.
